Approx. 2pm, Police Officer Jordan Corder was in a motorcycle crash while pursuing a motorcycle on North Citrus Avenue.
The motorcycle he was pursuing ran through a red light at West Puente Street. Corder was traveling southbound on his motorcycle on Citrus Avenue when his motorcycle collided with a Honda CR-V that was turning left. As Officer Corder entered the intersection, his motorcycle was struck and he was thrown from the motorcycle, suffering fatal injuries. Both he and the other 75 yr. old female driver were transported to Inter-Community Hospital, where Officer Corder was pronounced dead at 2:41pm.
The driver of the motorcycle he was pursuing continued to flee and remains at large.
